This application is for checking if some content has been plagiarized.
Plagiarism Finder is a desktop application that allows you to check for plagiarism. The developers claim it can do its work on even large amount of text quickly. With the increasing growth of the Internet, it is difficult to find the original author of a given piece of work. When some content is uploaded into any site, enforcing property and copyright becomes a difficult task. That difficulty has led to quite widespread plagiarism in generating content for various websites in all spheres of activity. The downside is that this can drive away good quality content from publication for fear of being plagiarized. This tool helps people who value their work. It will help protect them from copying activities. It uses an extensive database to check against and find if the work has been copied anywhere. The database has more than 10 million written works that could be quickly searched.
It is simple to use. You select the file to be checked and get the utility started. Parts of text that are plagiarized is highlighted in red. The simple interface should not be a stumbling block when you start to use the tool. The utility will provide a report that can be saved in HTML. This identifies all the fragments of the text that are suspected of plagiarism. You can initiate a search in two different ways. The first checks for sentence by sentence in the quick search mode. You could ask the search to be carried out in specific fragment lengths in the advanced mode. This utility handles MS word formats, RTF and TXT. ODF format also is compatible. This is a very good tool.
